Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Abstract Composition in Turquoise and Blue by Jafar Rouhbakhsh. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,998.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 22,000.00 – 28,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jafar Rouhbakhsh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65).
