Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art/ Middle East, which included the work Iran untitled by Jafar Rouhbakhsh. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,656.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jafar Rouhbakhsh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iran untitled von Jafar Rouhbakhsh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.656,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jafar Rouhbakhsh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.431,65) versteigert wurde.
