This artwork by Jacques Villon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Sydney in November this year. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work La Musique sold for USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,033.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Villon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Acrobate in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 920,520.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacques Villon erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit La Musique für USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.033,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Villon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Acrobate im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.025.000,00 (€ 920.520,88).
