Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Ma cousine Bichonnade, 40 rue Cortambert, Paris by Jacques Henri Lartigue. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,223.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Henri Lartigue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,536.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ma cousine Bichonnade, 40 rue Cortambert, Paris von Jacques Henri Lartigue zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.223,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Henri Lartigue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.536,01).
