Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Collector's Portfolio by Jacques Henri Lartigue was sold in the PhotographsSummer Cut auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 2,026.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Henri Lartigue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,536.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Collector's Portfolio von Jacques Henri Lartigue wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion PhotographsSummer Cut bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 2.026,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Henri Lartigue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.536,01).
