In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Rudolf Hapsburg (1218- 1291) Handing Over His Horse To A Priest Delivering The Viaticum by Jacques d'Arthois. The result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 27,975.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques d'Arthois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 58,750.00 (€ 74,102.22).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rudolf Hapsburg (1218- 1291) Handing Over His Horse To A Priest Delivering The Viaticum von Jacques d'Arthois zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 27.975,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques d'Arthois mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 58.750,00 (€ 74.102,22) versteigert wurde.
