Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The forest of Soignes with farmhouses, peasants, cows and goats at a watering hole by Jacques d'Arthois was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The price achieved of EUR 10,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques d'Arthois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 74,102.22).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
