Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture Day Sale, which included the work A Wooded Landscape With A Shepherdess Passing A Steep Bank, Probably On The Edge Of The Fôret De Soignes by Jacques d'Arthois. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 46,065.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Jacques d'Arthois have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2014 the work A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance was auctioned for GBP 58,750.00 (€ 74,102.22).
