Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work An extensive wooded landscape with travellers on a path by Jacques d'Arthois. The price achieved of EUR 8,050.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques d'Arthois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 74,102.22).
