Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work A wooded landscape with shepherds and cattle resting near a lake by Jacques d'Arthois. The price achieved of EUR 31,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques d'Arthois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 58,750.00 (€ 74,102.22).

Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape with shepherds and cattle resting near a lake von Jacques d'Arthois zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 31.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques d'Arthois mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures and a dog on a path, with a river and a castle in the distance beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 58.750,00 (€ 74.102,22) versteigert wurde.
