Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Renaissance, which included the work The Madonna Adoring The Christ Child by Jacopo del Sellaio. Here, the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 257,000.00 (€ 227,635.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo del Sellaio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Esther Before Ahasuerus, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 856,000.00 (€ 678,073.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Renaissance durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna Adoring The Christ Child von Jacopo del Sellaio zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 257.000,00 (€ 227.635,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacopo del Sellaio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Esther Before Ahasuerus beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 856.000,00 (€ 678.073,51) versteigert wurde.
