Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Selected Renaissance and Mannerist Works of Art Assembled by Fabrizio Moretti, which included the work Madonna And Child Enthroned, With Two Dominican Saints And Two Angels by Jacopo del Sellaio. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,215.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo del Sellaio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Esther Before Ahasuerus in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 678,073.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Selected Renaissance and Mannerist Works of Art Assembled by Fabrizio Moretti durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child Enthroned, With Two Dominican Saints And Two Angels von Jacopo del Sellaio zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.215,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo del Sellaio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Esther Before Ahasuerus im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.000,00 (€ 678.073,51).
