Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of Torquato Tasso, Aged 22 by Jacopo da Ponte. The price achieved of GBP 514,000.00 (€ 576,307.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo da Ponte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 8,901,000.00 (€ 6,593,333.33).

Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Torquato Tasso, Aged 22 von Jacopo da Ponte zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 514.000,00 (€ 576.307,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo da Ponte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.901.000,00 (€ 6.593.333,33).
