Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deposition of Christ by Jacopo da Ponte was sold in the The Collection of Hester Diamond Part I auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 302,400.00 (€ 249,196.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo da Ponte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 8,901,000.00 (€ 6,593,333.33).

Die Arbeit Deposition of Christ von Jacopo da Ponte wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion The Collection of Hester Diamond Part I bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
