Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection, which included the work Leandro da Ponte, called Leandro Bassano by Jacopo da Ponte. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 60,480.00 (€ 53,942.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo da Ponte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 8,901,000.00 (€ 6,593,333.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leandro da Ponte, called Leandro Bassano von Jacopo da Ponte zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 53.942,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo da Ponte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.901.000,00 (€ 6.593.333,33).
