Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II, which included the work Mater Dolorosa by Jacopo da Ponte. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,501.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo da Ponte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 8,901,000.00 (€ 6,593,333.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mater Dolorosa von Jacopo da Ponte zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.501,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo da Ponte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.901.000,00 (€ 6.593.333,33).
