Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacobus Buys could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 auction, the work Three women talking at night in a Dutch city, one holding a candle changed hands for GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,762.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacobus Buys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Set Of Twelve Representations Of The Months in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 54,566.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacobus Buys konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 wechselte die Arbeit Three women talking at night in a Dutch city, one holding a candle für GBP 6.500,00 (€ 7.762,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacobus Buys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Set Of Twelve Representations Of The Months im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 54.566,09).
