Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacoba Surie could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work A still life with fruits in a bowl changed hands for EUR 750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Jacoba Surie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grapes, pears, pumpkins, peaches on a draped kitchen table in February 2004 with an auction result of EUR 3,585.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacoba Surie konnte im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations wechselte die Arbeit A still life with fruits in a bowl für EUR 750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacoba Surie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grapes, pears, pumpkins, peaches on a draped kitchen table im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.585,00.
