Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Prunes and a jug on a table by Jacoba Surie was sold in the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2008. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacoba Surie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grapes, pears, pumpkins, peaches on a draped kitchen table, which sold at auction in February 2004 for EUR 3,585.00.

Die Arbeit Prunes and a jug on a table von Jacoba Surie wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacoba Surie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grapes, pears, pumpkins, peaches on a draped kitchen table beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für EUR 3.585,00 versteigert wurde.
