Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Still Life With Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Ledge, Along With Ears Of Corn, Shells, A Snail, A Wasp And Other Insects by Jacob van Walscapelle. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 59,217.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van Walscapelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A peony, an iris, a poppy, anemones, morning glory and other flowers, in a glass vase, with a caterpillar, a beetle and other insects, on a stone ledge in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 722,500.00 (€ 911,299.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Ledge, Along With Ears Of Corn, Shells, A Snail, A Wasp And Other Insects von Jacob van Walscapelle zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A peony, an iris, a poppy, anemones, morning glory and other flowers, in a glass vase, with a caterpillar, a beetle and other insects, on a stone ledge im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 722.500,00 (€ 911.299,66).
