Admittedly, works by Jacob van Walscapelle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A peony, an iris, a poppy, anemones, morning glory and other flowers, in a glass vase, with a caterpillar, a beetle and other insects, on a stone ledge in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 722,500.00 (€ 911,299.66).
