In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter Landscape With A Peasant Couple And Dog On The Ice To The Right, And A Boy Pulling A Sledge To The Left by Jacob van Strij for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,139.89). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house.
