In September 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work Figures fishing through a hole in the ice near a farmsted by Jacob van Strij. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,375.00 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob van Strij - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Southern Hilly Landscape With Shepherds Resting With Their Herd, A View Of Ruins Beyond, which sold at auction in November 2008 for EUR 13,750.00.

Im September 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures fishing through a hole in the ice near a farmsted von Jacob van Strij zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Strij mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Southern Hilly Landscape With Shepherds Resting With Their Herd, A View Of Ruins Beyond beobachtet, die im November 2008 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
