The work Meleager And Atalanta by Jacob van Loo was sold in the The Otto Naumann Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 65,376.57), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob van Loo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danaë, which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 275,000.00 (€ 244,857.98).

Die Arbeit Meleager And Atalanta von Jacob van Loo wurde im Januar 2018 in der Auktion The Otto Naumann Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 65.376,57) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Loo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Danaë beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für USD 275.000,00 (€ 244.857,98) versteigert wurde.
