Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Mother And Her Son In The Guise Of Venus And Cupid by Jacob van Loo. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,315.12). Admittedly, works by Jacob van Loo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Danaë in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 275,000.00 (€ 244,857.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Mother And Her Son In The Guise Of Venus And Cupid von Jacob van Loo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.315,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob van Loo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Danaë im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 275.000,00 (€ 244.857,98).
