Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grapes on the vine and peaches in a basket on a table, with a butterfly, beetle and fly on a wooden ledge by Jacob van Hulsdonck was sold in the IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in December 2000. The price achieved of GBP 168,750.00 (€ 268,817.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob van Hulsdonck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Plums, Grapes And Peaches In A Wicker Basket, With Cherries, Hazelnuts, A Beetle And A Butterfly On The Wooden Tabletop Beneath in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,874,500.00 (€ 1,351,478.01).

Die Arbeit Grapes on the vine and peaches in a basket on a table, with a butterfly, beetle and fly on a wooden ledge von Jacob van Hulsdonck wurde im Dezember 2000 in der Auktion IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 168.750,00 (€ 268.817,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden.
