Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Including Three Renaissance Masterworks from Chatsworth, which included the work A Still Life With Wild Strawberries And A Carnation In A Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period (1573-1619), Blue And White Kraak-Type Barbed-Rim Bowl, With Cherries And Redcurrants On A Wooden Ledge by Jacob van Hulsdonck. The price achieved of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 445,521.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob van Hulsdonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Plums, Grapes And Peaches In A Wicker Basket, With Cherries, Hazelnuts, A Beetle And A Butterfly On The Wooden Tabletop Beneath, which sold at auction in January 2010 for USD 1,874,500.00 (€ 1,351,478.01).

Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Including Three Renaissance Masterworks from Chatsworth durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Wild Strawberries And A Carnation In A Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period (1573-1619), Blue And White Kraak-Type Barbed-Rim Bowl, With Cherries And Redcurrants On A Wooden Ledge von Jacob van Hulsdonck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 361.250,00 (€ 445.521,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden.
