Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italianate townscene with figures making merry, a slaughtered pig to the right by Jacob Toorenvliet was sold in the Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Toorenvliet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rabbinical Discussion in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 76,193.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Italianate townscene with figures making merry, a slaughtered pig to the right von Jacob Toorenvliet wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Toorenvliet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rabbinical Discussion im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 76.193,95).
