In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work A Seated Couple Drinking Wine by Jacob Toorenvliet. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,873.34), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Toorenvliet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rabbinical Discussion in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 76,193.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Seated Couple Drinking Wine von Jacob Toorenvliet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.873,34) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Toorenvliet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rabbinical Discussion im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 76.193,95).
