Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Travelers In A Landscape by Jacob Simonsz. van der Does for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,270.00). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Simonsz. van der Does - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Herders Tending To Their Livestock Outside Of A Barn, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 5,400.00 (€ 3,994.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Travelers In A Landscape von Jacob Simonsz. van der Does für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.270,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Simonsz. van der Does mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape With Herders Tending To Their Livestock Outside Of A Barn beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 5.400,00 (€ 3.994,08) versteigert wurde.
