Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,625.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Simonsz. van der Does - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Herders Tending To Their Livestock Outside Of A Barn, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 5,400.00 (€ 3,994.08).

Die Arbeit A hilly landscape with a shepherd and his flock von Jacob Simonsz. van der Does kam im Juni 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Simonsz. van der Does mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape With Herders Tending To Their Livestock Outside Of A Barn beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 5.400,00 (€ 3.994,08) versteigert wurde.
