Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Drawings Part II, which included the work Landscape with a rocky outcropping by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,757.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peasants with livestock by classical ruins in an extensive landscape, with a youth playing a pipe in the foreground in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 96,000.00 (€ 70,278.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with a rocky outcropping von Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.757,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peasants with livestock by classical ruins in an extensive landscape, with a youth playing a pipe in the foreground im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 96.000,00 (€ 70.278,18).
