It achieved a price of EUR 3,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Maris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work De Brug (bij Rijswijk): the bridge in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 120,250.00.

Die Arbeit A calm stream, Oosterbeek von Jacob Maris wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Maris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit De Brug (bij Rijswijk): the bridge im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.250,00.
