Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Miracles of Saint Dominic - a modello by Jacob Jordaens was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,098.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Jordaens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Martin Healing The Possessed Man in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,730,000.00 (€ 4,366,691.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Miracles of Saint Dominic - a modello von Jacob Jordaens kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.098,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Jordaens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Martin Healing The Possessed Man im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.730.000,00 (€ 4.366.691,29).
