Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: Interior Scene With Figures Seated Around A Table; Verso: Partial Study Of A Similar Scene by Jacob Jordaens was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,914.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Jordaens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Martin Healing The Possessed Man in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,730,000.00 (€ 4,366,691.29).

Die Arbeit Recto: Interior Scene With Figures Seated Around A Table; Verso: Partial Study Of A Similar Scene von Jacob Jordaens kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.914,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Jordaens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Martin Healing The Possessed Man im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.730.000,00 (€ 4.366.691,29).
