This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Evening Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Jordaens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Martin Healing The Possessed Man in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,730,000.00 (€ 4,366,691.29).
