Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Kite (from an Infinite Expanse of Sky 10,000 Kites) by Jacob Hashimoto for USD 250.00 (€ 226.70). This price was achieved in the auction First Open/ NYC at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Hashimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Settling On The Forest Like Frozen Dustsigned And Dated 2010; Cardboard, Wood And Acrylic. Executed In 2010. in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 42,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Kite (from an Infinite Expanse of Sky 10,000 Kites) von Jacob Hashimoto für USD 250,00 (€ 226,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open/ NYC bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Hashimoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Settling On The Forest Like Frozen Dustsigned And Dated 2010; Cardboard, Wood And Acrylic. Executed In 2010. im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.500,00.
