The »bidding war« ended at GBP 69,600.00 (€ 83,114.76), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Grimmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Massacre Of The Innocents in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 313,250.00 (€ 375,161.12).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 69.600,00 (€ 83.114,76) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Grimmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Massacre Of The Innocents im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 313.250,00 (€ 375.161,12).
