Auction result well in line with expectations
The work MISPARIM by Jacob El Hanani was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,230.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob El Hanani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hebrew Alphabet NOF, which sold at auction in December last year for USD 10,710.00 (€ 10,011.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit MISPARIM von Jacob El Hanani kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.230,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob El Hanani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hebrew Alphabet NOF beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für USD 10.710,00 (€ 10.011,22) versteigert wurde.
