Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Metamorphosis by Jack Zajac. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,094.94). Admittedly, works by Jack Zajac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bound Goat, Thursday, Circa 1973 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,286.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Metamorphosis von Jack Zajac zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.094,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Zajac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bound Goat, Thursday, Circa 1973 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.286,34).
