Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California, which included the work Untitled, circa 1960 by Jack Zajac. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,020.00 (€ 1,042.62). Admittedly, works by Jack Zajac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bound Goat, Thursday, Circa 1973 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,286.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, circa 1960 von Jack Zajac zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.020,00 (€ 1.042,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Zajac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bound Goat, Thursday, Circa 1973 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.286,34).
