Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady in black, Raith Ballroom by Jack Hoggan was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,280.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Hoggan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 93,812.50 (€ 104,170.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady in black, Raith Ballroom von Jack Hoggan wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.280,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Hoggan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.812,50 (€ 104.170,78).
