Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Strangers in the Night by Jack Hoggan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 34,320.00 (€ 39,931.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Hoggan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 93,812.50 (€ 104,170.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Strangers in the Night von Jack Hoggan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 34.320,00 (€ 39.931,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jack Hoggan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 93.812,50 (€ 104.170,78) versteigert wurde.
