Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Granny by Jack Hoggan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,204.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Hoggan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 93,812.50 (€ 104,170.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Granny von Jack Hoggan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.204,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Hoggan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.812,50 (€ 104.170,78).
