Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jack McConville could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work Cheap Treasure changed hands for GBP 315.00 (€ 369.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack McConville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rokeby Candy in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,068.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jack McConville konnte im November 2021 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Cheap Treasure für GBP 315,00 (€ 369,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack McConville auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rokeby Candy im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.068,30).
