Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Mediterranean by Jack Leonard Shadbolt was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010. The price achieved of CAD 14,400.00 (€ 11,045.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Leonard Shadbolt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Proclamation, which sold at auction in November 2011 for CAD 42,000.00 (€ 30,607.89).
