Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jack Leonard Shadbolt could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Storm With Dog changed hands for CAD 14,400.00 (€ 10,339.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Leonard Shadbolt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Proclamation, which sold at auction in November 2011 for CAD 42,000.00 (€ 30,607.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jack Leonard Shadbolt konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Storm With Dog für CAD 14.400,00 (€ 10.339,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jack Leonard Shadbolt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Proclamation beobachtet, die im November 2011 für CAD 42.000,00 (€ 30.607,89) versteigert wurde.
