Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jack Hoggan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work In the garden sold for GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,498.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Hoggan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 93,812.50 (€ 104,170.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jack Hoggan erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit In the garden für GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.498,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Hoggan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.812,50 (€ 104.170,78).
