Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Mysteries of Paris by Jack Butler Yeats was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,257.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whistle of a Jacket in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,103,750.00 (€ 1,850,462.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Mysteries of Paris von Jack Butler Yeats kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.257,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Butler Yeats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whistle of a Jacket im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.103.750,00 (€ 1.850.462,00).
