In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Engravings by Jack Butler Yeats. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 88,200.00 (€ 103,555.10), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whistle of a Jacket in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,103,750.00 (€ 1,850,462.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Engravings von Jack Butler Yeats zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 103.555,10) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Butler Yeats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whistle of a Jacket im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.103.750,00 (€ 1.850.462,00).
